Method
Our method in five stages
Five stages, in this order. Each produces a deliverable you sign off before the next begins. No stage starts on a verbal agreement.
- 01
Framing
We start from what you have: a space, a budget, an intention, sometimes only one of the three. We trade ambition against floor area and rent before writing anything. This stage sometimes ends with “this project does not fit this space”, and that is the most profitable advice we can give.
Deliverable — Framing note, programming assumptions, envelope budget
- 02
Writing
The world and the story before the drawings. That order is what separates a designed venue from a decorated one. The narrative commands the architecture; it does not chase it.
Deliverable — World bible, story, game sequence
- 03
Drawings
Scaled layout, circulation, storage, plant rooms, then 3D renders once the layout is signed off. Contractors receive documents that can be built, not intent images.
Deliverable — Dimensioned drawings in DWG and PDF, 3D renders, technical layout
- 04
Production
Contractor selection, tendering on an identical scope, fabrication and development under our direction. Contractors are under contract with us: that is what makes a delivery commitment possible.
Deliverable — Awarded packages, contractual schedule, site reports
- 05
Opening
Technical integration, tuning in the room, team training, dry runs, handover and support through the first weeks. A venue is tuned after opening, not before.
Deliverable — Package sign-off, operations manual, trained team
Where does your project stand?
Each stage produces a deliverable you sign off before the next begins. What remains is knowing which one to start with.
