Full engagement

From idea to opening, a leisure venue delivered turnkey

Pix Entertainment works alongside you at every stage of your project. We imagine the concept, design the experience, define the spaces, select the right partners and fabricators, then see the build through to opening.

Our role: to hold the whole project in view, to keep creativity, engineering, operations and economics talking to each other, and to make sure the experience we imagined can actually come to life.

You bring the ambition. We turn it into a place that lives.

The problem

A leisure venue involves six to ten trades. You can contract them separately: that is legitimate, and it is what experienced operators who have already opened several sites do.

For a first venue, or for an operator who already has a site to run, it is a scheduling trap. Every delay from one shifts the others, and accountability dissolves exactly when it matters: three weeks before opening.

The five stages

  1. Design. Programming, world, story, layout drawings.
  2. Art direction. Direction, dimensioned drawings, 3D renders, materials charter.
  3. Production. Set construction and game development by the contractors we select and direct.
  4. Integration. Lighting, sound, automation, tuning in the room.
  5. Opening. Team training, dry runs, handover, support through the first weeks.

These five stages form a single engagement. They are not commissioned separately, because their value comes precisely from being chained under one accountability.

What you do not have to manage

  • Comparing quotes whose scopes do not overlap.
  • Arbitrating between a set builder and a developer who disagree.
  • Discovering in week 12 that a package nobody had allowed for.
  • Holding a schedule across five companies that do not speak to each other.

Where the savings are

This is the surest way to make real savings on a project, and they do not come from a discount. They come from what you do not pay for twice: trade-offs are made once, packages do not overlap and none is forgotten along the way. Companies are tendered against a common brief, so quotes are comparable and negotiation is possible.

The follow-through comes with it. One contact sees every contributor's progress at the same time, right through to handover. A slip is dealt with in the week it appears, not at delivery, when fixing it costs the price of redoing the work.

How we work together

One point of contact, a shared schedule and invoicing organised by stage. Pix coordinates the various contributors and centralises trade-offs, keeping a coherent view of the project from the start through to opening.

  • Budget. Every project is quoted individually, according to its floor area, its complexity, the level of design expected and the extent of our engagement.
  • Schedule. The plan is set when the project starts and organised in broad phases: design, tendering, fabrication, installation and opening.
  • Invoicing. Fees are invoiced against milestones, following the real progress of the engagement.
  • Contributors. Pix selects and coordinates the partners suited to the project: fabricators, set builders, integrators, engineering consultants and specialist companies.
  • Steering. One Pix contact follows the project end to end and centralises exchanges, trade-offs and sign-offs.
  • Commitments. Scope, deliverables, deadlines and each party's responsibilities are set out contractually before work begins.
