The problem

You are funding a project you are not a specialist in. The contractors you consult know their trade better than you do, and their quotes are not comparable with each other: different scopes, different assumptions, missing items that surface mid-build.

The gap between the announced budget and the final one almost never comes from a technical surprise. It comes from an incomplete specification.

What the engagement covers

• Writing the technical and functional specification.
• Tendering to contractors, on an identical scope for all of them.
• Comparative analysis of bids, line by line, with the differences explained.
• Attendance at site meetings and minutes.
• Budget tracking, variations included.
• Assistance at handover and snagging follow-up.

How it runs

This engagement is contracted monthly or as a fixed fee depending on project length. We take no commission from the contractors consulted and hold no interest in their companies. That is the condition for bid analysis to be worth anything.
