The problem

A leisure project is decided on images. The landlord, the bank, the partners and you all need to see the venue before it exists, and nobody projects themselves into a black-and-white plan.

What the step covers

• Modelling of the main zones from the approved drawings.
• Renders in the project's real lighting, not studio lighting: lighting decides the atmosphere, and it is the thing that has to be arguable.
• High-resolution files, reusable for your funding file and your communication.

The photoreal option

A working render is enough to settle an atmosphere. For a bank file, a brochure or a pre-opening campaign, a photoreal render changes the level of reading: materials, reflections, human presence.

It is ordered per view, on the images you choose. There is no point treating all twenty zones of a centre that way; three or four carry a file.

What renders are actually for

Deciding. On Otopia Angoulême they were used to settle materials and atmospheres with the operator before commitment, on a project where every square metre was contested. Less spectacular than a presentation image, and far more useful.

What comes first

Renders are produced after the layout is approved, never before: making images of a plan that is going to change is wasted money.
